Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information AVIR Studio (“AVIR”, “we”, “us”) receives when you visit this website or contact us, what we use it for, and the choices you have.

It describes the website as it currently works. We have kept it short because the website collects very little.

Emails you send us

If you email us at hello@avir.studio, we receive your email address, any name shown with it, and whatever you write or attach.

The contact form

When you send the form on our Contact page, we receive the name, email address, topic and message you enter. This website’s server emails them to us through the provider that hosts AVIR’s email, and keeps no copy. It also emails you a confirmation that your message arrived, quoting part of what you wrote. To limit how many messages can be sent in an hour, it uses a one-way code derived from your IP address, never the address itself.

Your AVIR account

If you create an account, we store your name, your email address and whether you have confirmed it. A password is stored only as a one-way hash, never as the password itself.

If you continue with Google, we store Google’s identifier for your Google account and the sign-in tokens Google issues, encrypted. We don’t store your Google profile photo.

Each time you sign in, we record when the session started and the IP address and browser it started from. To limit repeated attempts, sign-in, registration and password reset requests are counted per IP address and per one-way code derived from the email address.

Account emails, such as email verification and password reset links, are sent to your address through the provider that hosts AVIR’s email.

Launch notifications

If you ask to be notified when a product launches, we store the email address you give, which product it is for and when you asked. If you are signed in, we use your account’s confirmed email address and link the request to your account.

We use it only to confirm by email that you are on the list, and to email you again when that product launches. To limit repeated requests, they are counted per one-way code derived from the email address. You don’t need an account to join.

Technical information

When you load a page, your browser sends standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the address of the page, to the server that delivers this website.

Preferences on your device

Your light or dark mode choice, and whether the opening animation has played, are kept in your browser’s storage and are not sent to us. See Cookies and analytics.

• To reply to your messages, including questions about our products, licensing, support and partnerships.
• To email you when a product you asked about launches.
• To run your AVIR account: signing you in and keeping you signed in, confirming your email address, and helping you reset your password.
• To deliver the pages of this website to your browser.
• To remember your display preference, on your own device.

Products cannot currently be bought on this website, so it does not collect payment or billing details.

If online purchasing is introduced, checkout and payment may be handled by a third-party provider. This section will then name that provider and explain what information it and AVIR receive.

Hosting

This website is delivered by a hosting provider, which receives the technical information described above in order to serve its pages.

The provider’s name, and how long server logs are kept, have not been published yet.

Email

Emails you send us are handled by your own email provider and by the provider that hosts AVIR’s email.

Links to other websites

Social links open Instagram, X, Facebook and LinkedIn, which are run by those companies under their own privacy policies.

Live demos, such as the Roqi demo, open as separate websites.

Google sign-in

If you choose to continue with Google, Google handles that sign-in under its own privacy policy (opens in a new tab) and tells AVIR your name, your email address, whether Google has verified it, and an identifier for your Google account.

Fonts and images

The typefaces and images on this website are served from the site itself. It does not load third-party trackers, embedded media or font services.

This website sets cookies only when you sign in to an AVIR account, and does not use analytics.

avir.session_tokenCookie

Keeps you signed in to your AVIR account. It is set when you sign in and removed when you sign out, and scripts on the page can’t read it.

Kept up to 30 days after you last use your account.

avir.stateCookie

Set while you sign in with Google, or connect Google to your account, so the answer that comes back from Google can be matched to the request you started. It is removed when you return.

Kept up to 5 minutes.

It keeps these items in your browser’s own storage. They are not sent to us:

You can clear them at any time in your browser settings. The website works without them: it starts in light mode, and the opening animation may play again.

Your display preference stays on your device until you clear it; the animation record is removed when you close the tab.

The sign-in cookie is removed when you sign out, and expires 30 days after you last use your account.

How long AVIR keeps emails, account information and server logs, and how an account is closed, have not been published yet.

You can ask what correspondence we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@avir.studio.

The simplest protection is collecting little: this website takes no payments.

Account passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, and the cookie that keeps you signed in can’t be read by scripts on the page.

Email is not a fully secure channel. Please do not send passwords, payment card details or other sensitive information by email.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, such as asking for a copy of it, asking for it to be corrected, or asking for it to be deleted.

To make a request, email hello@avir.studio. Preferences kept in your browser can be removed directly in your browser settings.

You can change the name on your account in its settings at any time.

Hosting and email providers may store or process information in countries other than the one you live in.

The countries involved, and the safeguards used, have not been published yet.

This website and AVIR’s products are made for brands, studios and creators. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact hello@avir.studio.

When the way this website handles information changes — for example, if online purchasing is introduced — this policy will be updated.
